The Open the Light Project was recently honored to get an exclusive, indepth interview with Filipino-American actor, singer, model, song writer and producer Michael Copon. You may recognize him from commercials and print ads, “The Power Rangers”, People Magazines “50 Hottest Bachelors”, “One Tree Hill”, “Hawaii 5-0” and CSI Miami. He was most recently was featured on “Kourtney & Kim Take Over New York” where he was reunited with his “Beyond the Break” co-star Kim Kardashian.
His film appearances include All You’ve Got, Dishdogz, and Bring It On: In It to Win It. In 2008, Michael secured the lead role in the film The Scorpion King II: Rise of a Warrior, as well as lead roles in soon to be released theatrical films, including “Killer Holiday” which he also co-produced.
After his win on the VH1 television series, But Can They Sing, Michael has worked hard in the recording studio self-producing and writing his debut album, along with Grammy Award nominated and winning producers. His album will include majestic, hit bound, and club friendly sounds that possess all of the elements heard on Top 40 Radio today. Michael is ecstatic to bring his new hits out of Hollywood, and to the rest of the world.
